Synne Magar Ferguson is a native Texan that comes from a long line of artisans spanning multiple generations. She has been actively promoting and nurturing the arts in Allen, TX since 2004.
Synne originally opened Aurora Images Art Studio in 2007; a 220 square foot teaching studio where children age 7 and up could come for private fine arts instruction. The studio was one of the best kept secrets in Allen for almost 7 years being tucked away in quiet historic downtown Allen. In 2014, the studio enrollment had grown too large for the small space they occupied so the decision was made to move the studio to a larger space, moving to Eagle Plaza on Main Street across from AISD's Lowery Freshman Center.
Student enrollment at Aurora Images continues to grow. It is culturally diverse and represents not only Allen, but the surrounding communities. Many of the students attending fine arts classes at Aurora Images have become award winning emerging young artists. The Studio’s logo: “Where Creativity Comes to Play” describes the studio as a place where students may come to express themselves through creative thought and design while learning about and experimenting with the various art mediums and design techniques.
Synne, the owner of Aurora Images Art Studio and primary Instructor, holds a fine arts degree and is also an award winning artist. She has an appreciation for all of the creative arts and is always looking for ways to collaborate on projects with other groups for the benefit of the community. Her passion lies predominantly with the visual arts and portrait photography, but she is also known as a freelance blogger under “Where For Art Thou" and she is also a published book author. Her latest book series features her art and photography, providing readers with a visual journey through each story. Synne is an environmentalist and an animal rights advocate. Much of her inspiration comes from the beauty of nature and music, a reflection in every creative process she embarks upon.
